ACRYLICS
For years Jorge Imana favored oil as the medium for his
large canvas. He painted his first acrylic in 1955 at the studio of famous
Mexican master Juan O’Gorman, who encouraged Jorge to use this medium more
frequently.
With the passing of time, Jorge found acrylic to be the
ideal medium for his large paintings and murals. His palette is vibrant and
his subjects are varied. From the quiet waters of a stream or tropical pond,
to the vendor at an open market, the eternal snows of the Andes or the intricate
weaving of baskets.
