SKETCHES

The sketches of the artist is a masterful collection of on the spot ink drawings.  Over  1500  pages contained in several books that Jorge Imana   always carries with him.   He collects his impressions of a special moment, a certain light on a plant,  the daily chores of people in his neighborhood or afar;  landscapes of  many nearby and distant places that he has visited in his travels to over 58  countries. 

“From my window”  is a series of ink-drawings depicting the views from the rooms of hotels or homes where Jorge has stayed in his travels.   To many of his friends and collectors,  Imana’s sketches are a treasure, to Jorge, his drawings are a testimony of his life.
